Legal & policies · United States

The fine print,
in plain sight.

We treat our legal pages the way we treat everything else — clearly, honestly, and with nothing hidden. Below is every policy that governs how Humotron works, what you can expect from us, and what we do with your data. Each one opens with a plain-English summary before the detail.

Start here

How we think about all of this.

A one-page map of every policy below, and the principles behind them. If you only read one panel, read this one.
Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0 · US edition
The short version

Your raw biometric data never leaves your device. We work only with computed scores and the recommendations we build from them. We do not sell or share your personal information, we don't pass your health data to the stores we mention, and you can delete everything at any time. We're a wellness curation service — not a doctor, and not a clinic.

§01 Our principles

  • Raw stays, answers travel. Your raw stream is processed into scores on your side; only scores and recommendations move.
  • We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to the brands we recommend, not to data brokers. It isn't a revenue line and never will be.
  • We're not a store or a clinic. We name what to look for and why; you buy the brand you trust. And nothing here is medical advice.
  • Plain English first. Every policy opens with a summary you can actually read.
  • You're in control. Connect read-only, revoke anytime, delete everything from inside the app.

§02 Who this covers

This is the United States edition, for people using Humotron in the US. Separate editions apply in the UK & EU and India. Which edition applies to a purchase is determined by the billing address you use.

Where we're not available
Humotron is not currently offered to residents of Washington State or Nevada. If you're a resident of either, please don't sign up — we'll decline or close accounts we identify. We expect to serve these states in future.

§03 The policies

  • Privacy Policy — what data we handle, why, and your state privacy rights.
  • Cookie Policy — including your opt-out signals.
  • Terms of Service — the agreement between you and us, plus how Expert Sessions and Deep Scan work.
  • Health & Supplement Disclaimer — the most important boundary on this page.
  • Billing & Cancellation — including automatic renewal and how to cancel.
  • Acceptable Use — the few things you can't do.
  • Company & Contact — who we legally are.
Good faith, not legal advice
These policies are written to be fair and transparent. They are not legal advice, and nothing here waives rights you have under applicable law.
Privacy Notice

What we do with your data.

How Humotron Ltd collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information about US users. This notice also serves as our notice at collection under California law.
Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0 · US edition
The short version

Your raw biometric stream stays on your device. With your consent we read computed metrics to build your recommendations. We treat health data as sensitive, we do not sell or share it, we don't disclose it to retailers, and you can delete your account from inside the app whenever you want.

§01 Who we are

Humotron is operated by Humotron Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (no. 17494452), registered office 46 Emmeline Avenue, Swanscombe, United Kingdom, DA10 1EA. We are the business responsible for the personal information described here.

Contact us about privacy at privacy@humotron.com.

Data leaves the US
Because we operate from the United Kingdom, personal information about US users is transferred to and processed in the UK and EU, and by service providers in other countries. By using Humotron you understand and agree to this transfer.

§03 Sensitive information — and the limits we accept

Health data, precise geolocation and lab results are sensitive personal information under several state laws. We ask for your affirmative opt-in consent before collecting any of it, and:

  • We use it only to provide the service you asked for.
  • We do not sell or share it, in any sense those terms carry under state law.
  • We do not use it to infer characteristics about you beyond generating your recommendations.
  • We do not use it for advertising — ours or anyone else's.
  • You can withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting a source or deleting your account.
FTC Health Breach Notification Rule
We are not a HIPAA-covered entity, so HIPAA does not apply to us. We are, however, subject to the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule. If there is an unauthorized acquisition of your identifiable health information, we will notify you, the FTC, and where required the media, within the timeframes that rule sets.

§04 Why we use it

  • To generate and deliver the reading you purchased.
  • To arrange and deliver an expert session or Deep Scan you book.
  • To take payment and keep required financial records.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent fraud.
  • To improve the service using aggregated, de-identified data.
  • To send you marketing, if you opt in.

We will not use your information for a materially different purpose without telling you first.

§05 We do not sell or share your personal information

Stated plainly
We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months, and we do not do so today. This includes "sale" and "share" as defined under California law — meaning we don't disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising either. We also do not sell the personal information of anyone under 16.

§06 Who we disclose it to

We disclose personal information only for business purposes, to:

  • Service providers acting on our instructions and contractually restricted from using it for anything else — hosting, payments, email, AI processing, analytics and crash reporting.
  • Your wearable, calendar and weather providers, to establish the connections you authorize.
  • A consultant you book, limited to the specific signals you approve.
  • A partner laboratory, if you buy a Deep Scan.
  • Apple and Google, who process in-app purchases.
  • Authorities, where legally required.
  • A buyer or successor, if the business is sold — under equivalent protections.

§07 The split-data architecture

Your raw biometric stream is processed into scores on your side; our engine ranks recommendations against those scores. We do not receive or store the continuous raw stream from your device, and we never disclose your health data to the retailers or brands we mention.

§08 The Tron assistant

Tron lets you ask questions about your own data. To answer, relevant metrics are sent to a third-party AI provider, acting as our service provider. We ask for your consent before your first message. Direct identifiers are removed first; calendar titles and lab report contents are never sent. Under our arrangement, your data is not used to train their models.

§09 How long we keep it

  • Readings and scores: until you delete them, or after 12 months of inactivity.
  • Uploaded lab report files: deleted immediately after parsing.
  • Account details: until you ask us to delete them.
  • Transaction records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.

§10 Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and the split-data design that keeps your raw stream off our systems. No system is completely secure, but we take this seriously and review it regularly.

§11 Children

Humotron is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16 — which is moot, since we don't sell or share at all.

§12 Changes

We'll update this notice when our practices change and revise the effective date. For material changes we'll take reasonable steps to notify you.

Your State Rights

What you can ask us to do.

Privacy rights in the US vary by state. Rather than make you work out which apply, we extend the same core rights to everyone in the US.
Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0 · US edition
The short version

Wherever you live in the US, you can ask us what we hold, get a copy, correct it, or delete it — free, and without being treated differently for asking. Since we don't sell or share your data, there's nothing to opt out of, but you can withdraw consent for sensitive data at any time.

§01 Rights we extend to all US users

RightWhat it means
Know / AccessAsk what categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected, where from, why, and who we disclosed it to.
Copy / PortabilityGet a copy of your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
CorrectAsk us to fix inaccurate personal information.
DeleteAsk us to delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
Limit sensitive useWithdraw consent for health, location or lab data. We'll stop processing it.
Opt out of sale/shareAvailable in principle — but we don't sell or share, so there is nothing to opt out of.
No retaliationWe will not deny service, charge you differently, or give you a worse experience for exercising any right.
AppealIf we decline a request, you can appeal — see §04.

§02 How to make a request

  • Delete your account: from inside the app, at any time — this is the fastest route.
  • Any other request: email privacy@humotron.com from the address on your account.

We'll confirm within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, extendable once by a further 45 days if we tell you why. It's free, unless requests are excessive or repetitive.

Verification: to protect you, we'll verify your identity before acting — usually by confirming control of the account email. For sensitive requests we may ask for more.

Authorized agents: you can use an agent, who must provide written proof of authority. We may still verify with you directly.

§03 Opt-out preference signals

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar browser signals. Since we don't sell or share personal information, receiving one changes nothing about what we do — but we honor it regardless.

§04 Appeals

If we decline your request, we'll tell you why and how to appeal. To appeal, reply to our decision or email privacy@humotron.com with "Appeal" in the subject. We'll respond within 45 days. If we deny the appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.

§05 California-specific

  • Shine the Light: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
  • Financial incentives: we do not offer any in exchange for personal information.
  • Notice at collection: the Privacy Notice above serves as our notice at or before collection.

§06 Where we don't operate

Washington & Nevada
Humotron is not currently offered to residents of Washington State or Nevada. If you believe you hold an account and reside in either state, contact privacy@humotron.com and we will delete your data.

Terms of Service

The agreement between us.

The terms on which you use Humotron in the United States. By connecting a source, buying a reading, or booking a session, you agree to them.
Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0 · US edition
The short version

Humotron reads the tracker you already own and gives you a shortlist of things that may fit your data, with reasons. It's information and curation — not medical advice, and not a store. You can buy a one-time reading, a recurring reading, or a session with a lifestyle consultant. We're responsible for the service we provide; you're responsible for the choices you make from it.

§01 These terms

These terms are between you and Humotron Ltd, which operates Humotron. Read them alongside our Privacy Notice, Health & Supplement Disclaimer, Billing & Cancellation, and Acceptable Use policies, which form part of this agreement.

§02 Who can use Humotron

You must be 18 or over and able to enter a contract. You must not be a resident of Washington State or Nevada. If you connect a device or calendar, you confirm it's yours or that you have permission.

§03 What Humotron is — and isn't

  • It is a service that reads your connected sources and produces a ranked shortlist of recommendations, each with a data-driven reason.
  • It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and not a medical device. See the Health & Supplement Disclaimer.
  • It is not a store for most categories — we tell you what to look for; you buy where you choose. We take no commission.
  • Where we do take payment — readings, expert sessions, Deep Scan, devices — we say so clearly.

§04 What you can buy

Recurring readingA reading refreshed over a 6-month period, which renews automatically until cancelled. See Billing & Cancellation.Website and app

Free recommendationsHabits, protocols and recipe bundles. Nothing to buy.Website and app

Prices are in US dollars and may differ between website and app. The price shown at purchase applies. You are responsible for any applicable sales tax.

§05 Payment

On the website: payment is handled by our payment processor. In the app: payment is handled by Apple or Google under their terms, and refunds follow their policies.

What your payment includes
Your payment buys the reading, session or test you selected. It does not include the supplements, footwear, devices or apps we may point you to. Those are bought separately, from the relevant provider.

§06 Your data and content

Your data is yours. You grant us the permissions we need to process it to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Notice.

§07 Our intellectual property

The Humotron name and logo, the recommendation engine, and our content are owned by Humotron Ltd or our licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable license for your own wellness use. You may not copy, resell, scrape or reverse-engineer it.

§08 Availability and disclaimer of warranties

We work to keep Humotron available and accurate, but to the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recommendations will produce any particular result.

Some states don't allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this may not apply to you.

§09 Limitation of liability

Please read this
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Humotron — including decisions you make based on recommendations. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months or $100.

Nothing here limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. Some states don't allow certain limitations, so parts may not apply to you.

§10 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Humotron Ltd against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

§11 Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you and we submit to the courts of England & Wales — except that nothing prevents you from bringing a claim in small claims court in your home jurisdiction, or from contacting your state Attorney General or the FTC.

§12 Suspension and termination

You can stop using Humotron and delete your data at any time from inside the app. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or the Acceptable Use policy.

§13 Changes

We may update these terms; the version applying to a purchase is the one in force when you buy. We'll revise the date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.

Health & Supplement Disclaimer

We are not your doctor.

The most important boundary on this page. Please read it before acting on anything Humotron shows you.
Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0 · US edition
⚠ Read this first
Humotron does not provide medical advice. It is a wellness information and curation service, not a medical device, not healthcare, and not a substitute for a qualified professional. This applies to everything in the product — readings, recommendations, deep dives, the Tron assistant, and expert sessions. Always speak with your physician or pharmacist before acting on any recommendation. In an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

§01 Supplement statements

Required disclosure
These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Any product mentioned is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Where we mention a supplement or a dose range, that information is drawn from published sources and reviewed by a qualified nutrition professional. It remains general information, not a prescription or a personalized recommendation from a licensed provider. Supplements can interact with medication and are not suitable for everyone.

Speak to a physician or pharmacist before starting anything, especially if you are pregnant or nursing, have a medical condition, or take prescription medication.

§02 Information, not advice

Everything Humotron produces is general information based on consumer wearable data and context you connect. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it does not create a provider-patient relationship.

§03 Wearable data has limits

Consumer devices can be inaccurate or incomplete, and recommendations built on that data may be too. Treat them as prompts to look into something — not as findings.

§04 Correlation is not causation

Our Deep Dives pair two sources — your recovery against local temperature, say, or against your meeting load — and show where they move together. A relationship in your data does not prove one caused the other. They're a starting point for your judgement, not a conclusion.

§05 The Tron assistant

Tron is an AI assistant. It can be wrong, doesn't know your medical history, is not a clinician, and its answers are not medical advice.

§06 Emergencies

Humotron is not for urgent or emergency use. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.

Expert Sessions

Talking to a person.

How consultations work, what our consultants can and cannot do, and what happens to the data you share.
Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0 · US edition
The short version

You book and pay through us, and we arrange a session with a lifestyle consultant we've trained and onboarded. They are not licensed healthcare providers and do not give medical or clinical nutrition advice. Before the session you choose exactly which signals they can see, and access expires shortly afterwards.

What our consultants are not
Our consultants are lifestyle consultants. They are not physicians, nurses, registered dietitians, licensed nutritionists, therapists or other licensed healthcare professionals. They do not diagnose conditions, interpret results as clinical findings, provide medical nutrition therapy, advise on medication, or provide treatment. No provider-patient relationship is created. If you need clinical input, consult a licensed provider in your state.

§01 Who you're contracting with

You book and pay Humotron, and we arrange for a consultant from our network to deliver the session. We are responsible to you for the service, subject to the limits in our Terms. Consultants are independent contractors, not our employees; we select, train and onboard them, and they work to the scope below.

§02 What a session covers

  • Reading the patterns in the signals you've shared.
  • Explaining what those patterns may mean in everyday terms.
  • Suggesting general lifestyle changes — training structure, sleep routine, daily habits, general wellness approaches to eating.
  • Leaving you with practical next steps.

§03 What a session cannot cover

  • Diagnosis of any condition, or ruling one out.
  • Interpreting lab results or wearable readings as clinical findings.
  • Individualized medical nutrition therapy, meal prescriptions, or dietary treatment of a condition — several states restrict this to licensed practitioners.
  • Advice on medication.
  • Treatment of any kind, or anything substituting for seeing a licensed provider.

If something in your data concerns a consultant, they will tell you to see a licensed healthcare provider. That is the right outcome, not a failure of the session.

§04 What they can see

  • You approve exactly which signals the consultant can view before every session.
  • Access is limited to the period you approve and expires automatically shortly after the session.
  • Consultants are contractually bound to confidentiality and may not download, copy, retain or share your data.
  • We log what each consultant accessed.

§05 Booking, rescheduling and cancelling

  • Sessions are booked and paid for in advance.
  • You may reschedule up to 24 hours before at no cost.
  • Cancelling more than 24 hours before: full refund.
  • Cancelling less than 24 hours before, or not attending: no refund.
  • If a consultant cancels or fails to attend, we'll rebook or refund you in full — your choice.

§06 Recording

Expert sessions are not recorded by default. We do not permit recording by either party unless explicit consent is captured from all participants at the start of the session, in accordance with applicable state laws.

Deep Scan

Lab testing, bought through us.

How lab testing works, our partners' role, and what the results can and cannot be used for.
Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0 · US edition
The short version

Deep Scan is designed, run and reported by a partner laboratory, not by us — we're the marketplace you buy it through. We partner only with laboratories holding appropriate certification, including CLIA certification and any required state licensure. Several states regulate direct-to-consumer lab testing and may require a licensed physician to order the test; where that applies, we'll say so at purchase. Your results are added to your profile to enrich your reading, and are never used to diagnose you — discuss them with a licensed healthcare provider.

§01 Our Role

We are a platform connecting you to accredited lab partners. We do not process samples or generate results.

§02 Accreditation

We partner only with laboratories holding appropriate certification, including CLIA certification and any required state licensure.

Devices

Hardware and wearables.

Terms relating to any hardware devices we may sell in the future.
Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0 · US edition

§01 Hardware Sales

We do not currently sell our own hardware devices in the US. If and when we do, this section will describe warranty terms, return windows, and FCC/regulatory compliance specific to devices sold in the United States.

Billing & Cancellation

How charges, renewals and refunds work.

What you're paying for, how the recurring reading renews, and how to cancel.
Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0 · US edition
The short version

A one-time reading is a single purchase with no recurring charge. A recurring reading renews automatically every 6 months until you cancel. Purchases made through Apple or Google follow their refund policies, not ours.

§01 What you're buying

A reading is a digital product generated on demand from your connected data. You're paying for the matching and reasoning only — not for any supplement, device, consultation or lab test we point you to, which is bought separately from the relevant provider.

§02 Recurring reading — automatic renewal

A recurring reading runs for an initial 6-month term and automatically renews for successive 6-month terms at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We'll send a reminder email ahead of each renewal charge where required by law.

§03 How to cancel

  • Website purchases: cancel from your account settings, or email support@humotron.com. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current term.
  • App Store / Google Play purchases: manage or cancel your subscription directly through your Apple or Google account settings — we cannot cancel these on your behalf.

§04 Refunds

Because a reading is generated and delivered immediately, we don't offer refunds for a change of mind once it has been delivered. We'll always fix the problem or refund you if:

  • your reading fails to generate or deliver due to a fault on our side;
  • the reading is faulty or materially not as described;
  • you were charged in error, twice, or the wrong amount.

Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded under Apple's or Google's own refund policies — request those directly through their platforms.

§05 Expert sessions and Deep Scan

Expert sessions may be rescheduled up to 24 hours before at no cost; see the Terms of Service for the full detail. Deep Scan kits can be cancelled for a full refund before they ship; once a sample has been collected and sent, the kit can't be returned for hygiene reasons, but we'll replace or refund a kit that arrives damaged or a sample that fails.

§06 How to reach us

If something's wrong, email support@humotron.com with your order details and what happened. We aim to reply within 3 business days.

Acceptable Use

The few things you can't do.

Fair rules that keep Humotron safe and working for everyone.
Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0 · US edition
The short version

  • Scrape, crawl, copy, resell or redistribute our content or recommendations.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our engine, models or source.
  • Connect a device or upload data you don't have the right to share.

  • Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection to us.
  • Use Humotron as a substitute for professional medical care, or in a way that endangers yourself or others.

§02 If you break these rules

We may suspend or end your access, remove content, and where necessary report unlawful activity to the authorities.
